The Gender and Development Office (GAD), in partnership with DILG Iligan, MSU-IIT, DOJ Iligan, Iligan City Council of Women, and the Federation of Iligan Pride, will organize the Ma-alaGAD Summit: A Gender and Development Mindanao-Wide Summit on December 10, 2024, at Frosty Bites Garden, Brgy. Tubod, Iligan City.

This activity is in alignment with the Philippine Commission on Women’s (PCW) Gender and Development (GAD) activities, which are to disseminate information, promote gender mainstreaming, advocate women's empowerment, and recommend measures.

According to the Philippine Commission on Women, the goal of GAD is to achieve gender equality as a fundamental value and to transform society's social, economic, and political structures.
